BBbPresented “7” Papers in the 24th IFSO world congress (International federation of the society of Obesity), in Madrid, Spain, held between 3rd-7th September 2019.

Presented and won 1st prize in the best paper category, long-term outcomes of laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass from the Indian subcontinent at the ASICON 2019, Bhubaneshwar.

‘President’s gold medal for the best upcoming young surgeon of the year 2019’, at the annual national surgical conference ASICON 2019, Bhubaneshwar. Postdoctoral fellow (FNB-MAS) in the department of minimal access surgery at GEM Hospital, Coimbatore from 16.04.16 to 15.04.18. Worked as a senior resident in Department of Gastro-Intestinal Surgery and Liver Transplant at GB PANT Hospital, New Delhi from 15.05.15 to 14.04.16, worked as a consultant surgeon at Shivani Hospital and IVF, Kanpur from May 2014 to April 2015 (1 Year consultant period) and also worked as M.S. (Gen Surgery) Postgraduate at Government Stanley Medical  College, Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai (from May 2011 to May 2014). Did MBBS from Government Stanley Medical College, Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai (from 2003 to 2009).

He presented Oral Presentation, “RCT comparing opioid anesthesia for postoperative pain control and intubation stress attenuation laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy”- in Madrid, Spain held between 3rd-7th September. Poster presentation, “Long term case-matched analysis comparing sleeve gastrectomy and Roux-Y-gastric bypass in the India obese”- selected for poster oral presentation, in Madrid, Spain held between 3rd-7th September 2019. Oral presentation, “Long term comprehensive results of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy from the Indian subcontinent”, in Madrid, Spain, held between September 2019.  Oral presentation, ‘Concomitant bariatric surgery with Ventral hernia repair – an experience of over 150 cases from a tertiary care center, in Madrid Spain held between 3rd-7th September 2019. Poster Presentation, ” ERAS in Roux-en-Y gastric bypass – randomized control trial (NCT No. – 04181354) in Madrid, Spain held between 3rd-7th September 2019. Presented paper titled, “Comparison of treatment outcomes in difficult abdominal closures, an open-labeled prospective study” at the ASICON, 2019, Bhubaneshwar. Presented and won 1st prize in the best paper category, long term outcomes of laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass from Indian Subcontinent at the ASICON, 2019, Bhubaneshwar. Video paper entitled “SILS sleeve gastrectomy to SILS RYGB-A revisional video”, selected in the best video category at the ASICON, Bhubaneshwar. Presented and won 3rd prize in the best research paper category titled long term match analysis comparing sleeve gastrectomy ad Roux-en-Y gastric bypass from Indian Subcontinent at the ASICON,2019, Bhubaneshwar. Also presented World’s first case report of lower esophageal peptic stricture after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy- OSSICON, Kolkata 2019. Long term case match analysis between Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y- gastric bypass, OSSICON, Kolkata 2019. Concomitant e-TEP with TAR with sleeve gastrectomy at OSSICON, Kolkata 2019. Presented a poster ‘ Outcomes of laparoscopic liver abscess drainage a series of 28 patients’, at 16th Annual conference of Indian Chapter of International Hepato- Pancreatic Biliary Association, 15-17, February 2019, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Presented a paper titled, ” Laparoscopic liver resections- pros and cons”, at 1st national conference of liver transplantation of India (LTSICON-2018) November 2018. Poster on the management of liver abscess, at 28th Indian Association of Surgical gastroenterology (IASGCON), Chandigarh 3-6 October 2018. Paper termed “Case match study comparing lipid profile laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass from Indian Subcontinent”, during AMASICON 2018, Lucknow.
